The bride was given in marriage by her parents, David and Sue Smith of Georgetown. She wore a white satin, floor-length, strapless Alfred Angelo gown with chiffon overlay, embellished with silver and white beads and sequins on the bodice. Her fingertip veil, hand-made by her mother, was also embellished on the edges with silver and white beads. She wore a silver necklace and her sister’s diamond solitaire earrings. She carried a bouquet of pink and white gerbera daisies, wrapped in white ribbon.
The matron of honor was Ashley Smith Harry, sister of the bride, from Dallas. The bridesmaids were Stacey Rossow, sister of the groom, from Beeville; Karen Smith of Abilene and Jenny Smith of College Station, both friends of the bride. The attendants all wore sage green, strapless, floor-length, satin gowns and silver necklaces – a gift from the bride. They carried pink gerbera daisies wrapped with sage green ribbon.
The best man was the groom’s friend Dustin Wallek of Beeville. Groomsmen were Kurt Rossow, brother of the groom; Beau Schilling of College Station and Eric Merta of El Campo, both friends of the groom. Ushers were Matt Huie and Jim Sugarek, both of Beeville and cousins of the groom.
Music on the organ and piano was provided by Linda Bratcher of San Angelo, aunt of the bride; and Mandy Kullman of College Station. Musical selections consisted of “Unfailing Love” by Chris Tomlin.
The church was decorated in greenery and white pillars draped in sage green and pink and white flowers.
The wedding reception was held in the new Family Life Center at Central Baptist Church in College Station. Round banquet tables were adorned with centerpieces of floating pink gerbera daisies in clear vases.
The bride’s cake was a three-tiered round cake with white piping and topped with pink gerbera daisies and a silver and rhinestone “R.” The groom’s table consisted of brownies and ice cream sundaes. A buffet table served heavy hors d’oeuvres.
A rehearsal dinner was held at the Caffé Capri in Bryan the evening before the wedding. Forty guests, consisting of the wedding party and bride’s and groom’s families, were served a dinner of chicken parmesan and Cajun tortillini, with German chocolate cake and white Texas sheet cake for dessert.
Out-of-town guests included the bride’s and groom’s parents and grandparents, and the bride’s aunts and uncles. House party members included Angela Turner, Mandy Kullman and Lena Tharp, all of College Station; Leigh Ann Wilkinson of Rowlett; Stephanie Bratcher of Arlington; and Nicole Sellers of Richardson.
The bride attended Georgetown High School in Georgetown and graduated in 1998. She attended Hardin-Simmons University in Abilene, graduating in 2002 with a BA degree in biology and also in 2003 with a master of physical therapy. She was employed with Brazos Valley Rehabilitation Center in Bryan and currently with Grimes St. Joseph Health Center. Grandparents of the bride are George and Mary Wright of Abilene and Kathryn Smith of San Angelo.
The groom is the son of Sid and Susan Rossow of Beeville and the grandson of Edwin and Katherine Rossow of San Antonio, and Edward and Aleene Sugarek of Beeville. The groom attended A.C. Jones High School and graduated in 2000. He attended Texas A&M University, graduating in December 2003, with bachelor of science degree in agriculture systems management. He is employed with Deere and Company.
Upon returning from their honeymoon in Costa Rica, the couple now make their home in College Station.
