Joanna (Garcia) Gonzales, 37, of Beeville died Saturday, May 15, 2010.

Ms. Gonzales was born April 13, 1973, in Lubbock to Magdaleno and Juanita B. Garcia and was a correction officer at TDCJ.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Garcia.

Survivors include her parents, Magdaleno and Juanita B. Garcia of Mathis; two daughters, Natasha and Phylisha Gonzales of Taft; two sons, Joseph and Joshua Gonzales of Taft; two sisters, Juanita (Gordon) Garcia and Leonor Garcia, both of Beeville; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Visitation was held Wednesday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Angelus Funeral Home.

A graveside service was conducted at 10 a.m. Thursday at Descanzo Eterno Cemetery in Mathis with Father Fernando Gamez officiating.
