Albert G. Beltran, 78, died Wednesday, Dec. 10, 2008. He was a veteran of the Korean War, and he worked as a car loader for Reynolds Aluminum.

He was born in Refugio on Sept. 23, 1930.

Survivors include his wife Mary Beltran of Refugio; three daughters, Sylvia Castellano of Victoria, Sandra Shippy of Detroit, Mich. and Susie Ronje of Corpus Chrisiti; one son, Steve Beltran of Refugio; one brother, Alonzo Beltran of Refugio; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A rosary was recited at 7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 12 at Moore Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 13 at St. James Catholic Church. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Leonard Castellano, Steve Beltran, Joe Cuellar, Sid Valenzuela, Albert Ronje and Cosme Valenzuela.

Honorary pallbearers were Derek and David Ramirez and Joshua Elizalde.
