The Austwell-Tivoli Junior High Redfish struggled with its defense the first two games of the year but made a U-turn against Faith Academy. The Redfish rolled over the academy 36-12.

The Redfish defense did not allow Faith Academy to score any points in the entire first quarter and at half time, Faith only had a total of two points.

Another very much improved part of the Redfish game was rebounding led by Oscar Tobora.

“I was very proud of how our guys performed on both sides of the ball,” said Coach Zach Crawford.

Leading scorers for the Redfish are Avery Camacho with 23; Seth Solis, 6; AJ Reyna with 6, and Jarret Rees, 1.

The two defensive standouts in the game were Oscar Tobora and Seth Solis.

The Redfish are now 1-2 and will play at Faith Academy Monday, Dec. 15.
