The Refugio County Retired School personnel conducted its Christmas meeting on Thursday, Dec. 11, in the club room at Refugio City Hall.

Special guests Superintendent Bobby Azam and Superintendent Dr. Antonio Aguirre were welcomed by Anita Barber, club president .

Ally Coscetti, a sixth grade student from Refugio, entertained the group by singing a variety of Christmas musical selections.

During the meeting, the group voted to hold a raffle for its spring fund-raiser.

The main prize will be an original painting by Gwendolyn Branstetter, renowned local artist.

Tickets will go on sale in the near future for a drawing to be held during the Refugio County Fair in March.

Funds raised will be used for scholarships for Refugio County students.
