Lucille Isaiah, 84 of Refugio, died Friday, July 16, 2010 in Canyon Lake. She was a nurse’s aid at Refugio Memorial Hospital before retiring and was a lifetime member of Union Baptist Church of Refugio.

She was born Dec. 25, 1925 in Bryan to Taylor and Callie Isom.

She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Clayton Leon Isaiah; two daughters, Mary Lott Lewis and Patsy Isaiah Predom; two sons, James Clayton Isaiah and Curtis Isaiah; one sister, Ruby Jewel Isom; one brother, Peter Isom; and three grandchildren.

Survivors include two daughters, Pamela Alecia Isaiah of Homestead, Fla. and Beverly Isaiah-Bermudez and husband Felipe of Canyon Lake; one son, Jonathan Isaiah of Houston; two sisters, Vernetta Williams of Refugio and Hattie Reese of Houston; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Saturday, July 24, at 1 p.m. at Refugio Baptist Church.

Funeral services will be conducted immediately after visitation at 2 p.m., with Rev. Eugene Lewis of Union Baptist Church officiating.

Burial was in Refugio Community Cemetery.
