Classes are designed to be informative and entertaining, and feature expert lecturers. A wide array of gardening topics arm gardeners with the information they need for success.
The class will meet each Thursday through Nov. 18, 1-5 p.m., at the Victoria County 4-H Activity Center, located near Victoria County Regional Airport.
The cost for the 60-hour class is $135, with payment due Aug. 5. The registration deadline is July 19. To obtain a registration application go to the Texas AgriLife Extension Service, 442 Foster Field Drive in Victoria, or go www.vcmga.org. Upon completion of the course, a one-year internship follows. Interns are required to provide 50 hours of volunteer service in order to be certified as Master Gardeners.
VCMGA membership is made up of volunteers from Victoria County and surrounding counties. Volunteers are not only dedicated to learning more about gardening, but to sharing their knowledge with their neighbors and communities.
