John Wilbur McClain, 47, of Refugio, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2010 in Sour Lake, Tx. He was born July 20, 1963, in Monroe, La. to Daniel and Nelda McClain of Bastrop, La. He was an oilfield truck driver and a U.S. Army Veteran.

He is survived by his parents; wife, Mary Helen McClain of Refugio; sons, John W. McClain II of Bastrop, La., Charles Andrew McClain and wife Ashley of Refugio, and Mark Dylan McClain stationed in Fort Jackson, S.C.; stepsons, Joe Arzola Jr. of Refugio, Nicholas Arzola of Manvel, Tx, Adan Gonzales of Refugio; stepdaughter, Monica Arzola of Mavel, Tx.; brother, Daniel W. McClain Jr. of Bastrop, La., and grandchildren, Carlie Andrea McClain, Charles Andrew McClain Jr., and Jarren Gonzales; four step-grandchildren, MaKalah and Luke Arzola of Refugio, Alyssah and Michael Torrez of Manvel, Tx. Honorary pallbearers were Bo Montalvo, Joe Cumpton, Marcus Gonzales, Rene Escobar, Rene Garza, Ricky Avery, Johnny Menchaca and Gene Lee.
