Lucia G. “Lucy” Delgado, 61, died Saturday, July 31, 2010, at her residence.

Mrs. Delgado was born Aug. 23, 1948, in Mathis to Bicente and Maria H. Ganceres. She retired as a teacher assistant after 34 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Jesse Delgado.

Survivors include a daughter, Melissa Keller; and a son, Jesse Delgado, both of Beeville; two brothers Dionicio Ganceres of Dinero and Lucio Ganceres of Pleasanton; four grandsons, Derek Moron, Jeremy and Ryan Keller and Sebastian Delgado.

A rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Monday at Treviño Funeral Home. The funeral Mass was celebrated at 10 o’clock Tuesday at St. James Catholic Church. Burial followed at Our Lady of Victory Cemetery #2.

Pallbearers were Raul Garza, Isaac Garza, Jesse Garza, Daniel Gutierrez Jr., Angel Valdez and Jaime Ganceres.
