Alan Y. Hernandez, 47, of Kyle and formerly of Refugio, died Friday, July 30, 2010 at his residence. He was a meat cutter for H-E-B Grocery.

He was born on Aug. 9, 1962, in Refugio to Navor S. and Billie R. Hernandez.

He is preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include his mother of Houston; wife, Sandra Cuellar Hernandez of Kyle; one daughter, Staci Hernandez of Kyle; three sons, Eric Hernandez, Troy Hernandez and Ryan Hernandez, all of Kyle; three sisters, Debbie Lozano of Houston, Judy Cuellar of Houston, and Esther Olivares of Kyle; and one brother, Navor Hernandez Jr. of Kyle.

A rosary was recited on Sunday, Aug. 1, at 7 p.m., at Moore Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services were conducted on Monday, Aug. 2, at 2 p.m., at St. James Catholic Church.

Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Robert Cuellar, Dustin Cuellar, Reuben Sanchez, Lawrence Ramirez, Nicolas Lozano and Pete Olivares.
