(Al Posas is seeking place 4 on the Bayside City Council. This week, he released the statement below.)

Hello, my name is Al Posas, and I am campaigning for place 4 spot on the Bayside City Council. I offer you leadership with integrity, pride and commitment to our community.

I already have city council experience, having served on the Bayside City Council in the 1990’s. I bought property in Bayside in 1988 and have lived in Bayside for 22 years.

I retired from Reynolds Aluminum after 32 years I worked as a maintenance mechanic, served aluminum local 235 as union representative and a member of the Coastal Labor Union council for 18 years. My last 14 years was spent as a maintenance supervisor, before I retired in 2001.

I have three daughters and a son. Hilda, has an accounting degree; Noelia and Laura are both school teachers; and Benny, has served in the military for 22 years.

I would like to see Bayside unified and be able to communicate, regardless of our differences.

I love Bayside, and I’m not going to move away, I believe Bayside is about to experience super growth, and I feel I can help guide this expansion in a uniform way.

Again, voters of Bayside, vote for me, Al Posas, for Bayside City Coucil.

Early voting begins Oct. 18.
