I retired eight years ago and moved to Bayside from Indiana to enjoy warm weather and family. I became a professional tax preparer for seven years after moving here. I have since retired again.
I have a well-rounded background in human resources training, operations and consumer affairs. I am skilled in researching and preparing even related material. I have planned, scheduled and coordinated public events and have been very successful with fund-raising programs.
I have worked with department budgets, balanced daily revenue and expenses and maintained an office system for AR/AP and time-sensitive projects.
While living in Indiana, I was active in Special Olympics, helping with various activities including bowling and the annual “Bell” Track Meet. Our family was named Indiana Family of the Year.
I enjoy spending time with family and friends along with reading, cooking and doing computer research.
Since in Bayside, I have attended council meetings and have been involved with Bayside cleanup day and the planning commission. I will insist on honest and open government. The citizens deserve this.
I will do my research before voting to determine what is legal and I will listen and vote for what is in the best interest for the whole community.
I will be available any time to answer any questions and listen to your suggestions. I will strive to protect and improve our town’s quality of life and make sure we have clean, affordable water and a working sewer system to keep our families healthy. Every penny of the taxpayers should be made accountable at all times.
Vote for Linda Bell for place 1 Bayside City Council person on Nov. 2, at Bayside Community Center.
