On Saturday, Sept. 25, I attended training at the Beeville Police Training Center which was hosted by Angel Care Ambulance Service and the City of Beeville Volunteer Fire Department.
The training was free to surrounding volunteer fire departments and focused on the extraction of critical patients from major vehicular crashes using the jaws of life.
Being a member of the smallest fire department in the county, you can imagine that our budget does not allow for costly training. So I write this letter to thank all the wonderful emergency service providers of Bee County and all other persons involved in assisting in making this course possible.
I want to especially thank the administrator of Angel Care Ambulance, Gabriel Aleman, for all his hard work and contributions in providing continuing education to small departments like ourselves.
In the short time that I have been a member of the Pawnee Volunteer Fire Department, the City of Beeville Volunteer Fire Department, all the surrounding volunteer fire departments and Angel Care have accepted us as part of the team. The City of Beeville is very blessed to have a community supporter and provider like Aleman and to a have a group of highly trained volunteers in our county.
