KENEDY – The Skidmore-Tynan Bobcat football team gave its first year head coach the first victory of his career in the team’s season opener last week on the road.

SKIDMORE – Chloe Smith hit .275 for the match and had a team-best 17 kills, but that wasn’t enough to help the Skidmore-Tynan Lady Cats beat district foe Orange Grove on Sept. 1.

BEEVILLE – In the first action of the year for both the Beeville and Skidmore-Tynan cross country teams, it was two runners from down south who claimed wins.

BEEVILLE – Consistency at the service line has flummoxed the Beeville volleyball team over the past few years.

SKIDMORE – A COVID-19-related stoppage may have wiped out several practices and the regularly-scheduled season opener for the Skidmore-Tynan volleyball team, but that didn’t stop the Lady Cats from winning their first match of the season.

CUERO – Beeville football coach Chris Soza walked away from his team’s lone scrimmage of the year Aug. 20 with two main thoughts – his team gets a high mark for its effort, but a much lower mark for its stamina.
