YOAKUM – The Pettus volleyball dropped its season opener Tuesday night on the road.

Yoakum handed the Lady Eagles a loss in three sets, winning all three by at least 16 points.

The Lady Dogs won the first two sets by matching 25-9 counts, then closed out the win with a 25-5 win in the third set.

Freshman Alisynn Morin led the Lady Eagles with a kill and three digs in the loss.

Alexis Del Bosque also had a kill for Pettus.

Ebony Gutierrez, Alyssa Ramirez and Savanah Crawley each recorded one dig.
