The Weesatche Volunteer Fire Department will hold its 23rd annual chili-barbecue cook-off on Saturday, April 1.

Texas Independence Day was celebrated by the Goliad County Historical Commission by putting up 220 Dimmitt Goliad flags at J. W. Fannin and his men’s graves.

United Way of the Crossroads is now accepting grant applications from organizations providing services in Victoria, DeWitt, Goliad and Lavaca counties and the city of Gonzales. The applications are for the funding cycle beginning July 1 through June 30, 2024.
