Kayla Debord and Ward Niemeier, both of Goliad, are pleased to announce their engagement and approaching marriage.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Denise Durham of Victoria and Michael DeBord of Goliad. She is a 2010 graduate of Goliad High School and was graduated from Texas A&M University in 2014. She then completed her Doctorate of Pharmacy degree in 2018 at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, and is employed as a pharmacist at Detar Hospital in Victoria. 

She is the granddaughter of Evelyn DeBord of Lolita and the late Maurcie Debord and Victor and Lucille Vasek of Hallettsville.

The prospective groom is the son of William “Bill” and Debbie Niemeier of Yorktown. He is a 2004 graduate of Yorktown High School and graduated from Texas A&M University in 2008. He is a business owner in Victoria.

He is the grandson of Ernell Niemeier of Yorktown and the late Clarence Niemeier and the late Edward and Gloria Mann.

The couple plan to wed Saturday, June 8, in Yorktown.
