New business included discussions of fundraising events scheduled for later in the year. Events will include a “Collective Goods” sale in September, “Masquerade” jewelry sale in October, “Wirewood” custom jewelry sale as well as the annual tamale sale in November. Stay tuned for more details on these events as the time nears.
The four area graduating seniors who are recipients of the scholarship awards are: Shannon Beers (Falls City), Jacy Hartsfield (Kenedy), Riley Allen (Karnes City) and Rosalinda Gonzales (Runge).
The Auxiliary welcomed aboard it’s newest member, Kathy Quintero.
June is the month in which the Auxiliary honors the OKMH Board Members and Executive Staff. Members were pleased to host Richard Robinson, David Purser, Gretchen Dupnik, David Lee (CEO) and Christina Benevides (exec assistant). In addition to the festivities, Auxiliary President Margie Pierce presented a gift of $10,000 to Lee. These Auxiliary gifts enable OKMH to purchase needed equipment and/or services which may otherwise not be available. A delicious luncheon and good fellowship were enjoyed by all.
The next business meeting will be Thursday, July 11, at 9:30 a.m. in the Hospital Community Room.
