This is my first time to write an editorial but I just couldn’t resist. After reading the front page of the recent Karnes Countywide, I must express a ‘WOW’ to the new Karnes City manager. For Mr. Evans to donate his personal time to assist those who can’t help themselves with needed chores around their homes is, in my opinion, absolutely awesome. Never known of any city manager to stretch his duties in such a marvelous way! As a resident of Karnes City, I hope to meet this gentleman soon. I am at an advanced age with medical issues so I am experiencing situations I can no longer accomplish so I know how frustrating this can be. I am fortunate enough to be able to hire outside assistance but not everyone can. What you are doing, Mr. Evans is very admirable! I thank you.
