Founders Day thanks
The city council and myself would like to thank everyone who joined us on Dec. 9 for the City of Karnes City’s third Annual Founders Day Celebration. We started this event in 2015 to celebrate our 125th anniversary, and it has become a yearly event and continues to grow each year. Our event was a huge success and administration is already making plans for next year. Mark your calendars, for the second Saturday in December 2018!
We would also like to thank all of our city staff, public works department, police department and fire department. Each individual works very hard in making this event a success. We have a great team here at the city! This year we had more than 60 parade entries, and more than 30 food and craft vendors combined and our park was full of people to finish off the day with a spectacular fireworks show.
Once again, thank you all who joined us for our celebration. We also would like to thank all of our vendors, parade participants, ProFX, PacMan Entertainment and anyone else who came together to make this celebration a wonderful one.

Team Rosa would like to give a big thank you to those that purchased barbecue plates on Saturday, Dec. 2, to help defray medical expenses for Rosa Gutierrez. To all who made donations whether it was bringing items, monetary or food, and especially those that cooked, helped serve and deliver plates. A special thank you to all my aunts and uncles for putting the benefit together.
