Phoebe Wilson, 73, formerly of Refugio, died Thursday, June 20, 2019, after a long battle with cancer.
Ms. Wilson was born May 14, 1946, in Refugio to William Hughes and Doris Marie Moore. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (accounting) in 1977 and her CPA a year later. After she retired, she volunteered for several non-profits including the AARP Foundation’s Tax Aid, giving free assistance with personal tax returns for Rockport and Portland.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, William Hughes Moore Jr.
Survivors include a daughter, Christy ONeil of Santa Fe, New Mexico; two grandsons; two sisters, Letha Kieffer and Jane Moore, both of Rockport; and five brothers, Richard Moore of Galveston, Thomas Moore of Corpus Christi, John Moore of Rockport, Mick Moore of Refugio and Tony Moore of Houston.
A memorial service will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at the Fairfield Inn in Rockport.
