Raul Enrique “Catan” Rios, 65, of Sinton, died Wednesday, May 29, 2019.

Mr. Rios was born June 27, 1953, in Idalou to Raul and Maria Angelita (Cervantes) Rios. He was a resident of Sinton and had previously lived in Houston and Raymondville. He was a former employee of Houston ISD. His favorite past-time was watching the Houston Astros. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raul and Angelica Rios; grandparents, Domingo and Maria Cervantes; and a brother, Johnny Garcia.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Linda Rios of Sinton; sons, Raul Enrique Rios Jr. of Houston and Andres Domingo (Regina) Rios of Deer Park; daughters, June Elizabeth (Carlos) Cruz of Gainsville and Lori Hortencia (Oscar) Rodriguez; grandchildren, Adrian Enrique Rios, Gabriel Rios and Carter Ray Rios; four great-grandchildren; 22 siblings; step-father, Ramiro “Grandpa” Suarez of Rivera; and mother-in-law, Elvira Eilers.

Visitation was held at Resthaven Funeral Home from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, June 8, with a rosary recited at 7 o’clock. Visitation continued there Sunday, June 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. followed by a Christian rites service.
