The Live Oak County Chapter of Sons of the American Revolution (SAR) met Tuesday, Dec. 14, at the Buck West House in George West for the final meeting of the year. 

Local Historian Kasey King, guest speaker at the meeting, spoke of wars during Christmas time starting with George Washington crossing the Delaware in 1776. He also spoke of many wars and activities that took place during Christmas time in his colorful humorous ways that placed listeners in the very event he spoke about. 

SAR & Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) members and guests enjoyed the history and stories King delivered. 

SAR & DAR meet monthly at the Buck West House in George West.
